(May 12, 2022) Shepherd’s Men is grateful to the Connecticut Construction Industries Association (CCIA) for a generous donation of $55,000 at its 10th Annual Joint Forces Luncheon in Connecticut on May 12.
Since 2012, CCIA has celebrated military service and veterans by recognizing a worthwhile organization each year at its annual luncheon. CCIA very carefully selects the organization to honor at each year’s event.
Honored guests at this year’s luncheon included Travis Ellis, co-founder of Shepherd’s Men and Shepherd’s Men member and SHARE graduate Jorge Rodriguez and his wife Jessica—who shared their testimony of injury, healing and transformation at the SHARE Military Initiative.
“The CCIA members conceived and continue to support this event to support the true volunteers and patriots who support our veterans, said Donald J. Shubert, president of CCIA. “The members also strive to provide organizations an opportunity to share their message and mission with a broader audience.”
With the oldest division operating for more than 85 years, Connecticut Construction Industries Association (CCIA) was formed by combining the collective knowledge and strength of unique organizations to create the most comprehensive commercial construction trade association in Connecticut.
Special thanks to Donald J. Shubert, president of CCIA. He is well known in the construction industry for his award-winning leadership and advisory roles—locally and nationally. Don received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps. We salute Don’s extraordinary career, dedication to giving back and his military service.
Shepherd’s Men is grateful to CCIA for this amazing contribution to support the work at SHARE Military Initiative. Many veterans will benefit from CCIA’s dedication to healing injured veterans.
